Board of a game I'm working on

My wife is super talented. She can play pretty much any instrument you can think of, and is really good at art. She also knows a lot about biology.

Here's what I have so far of the board of a game I'm working on:

The setting is Ancient Greece. The top 4 yellow squares are to put 4 random Greek Gods cards. If you use an action to worship a god, then you put a token on that god card and each one gives you unique special abilities. You can also use your turn to move two of your meeples on the map from hex to hex. Each hex gives a certain type of resource, and you can also use your turn to have two areas produce.

Hold up, wait a second, you don't know what areas are yet. You see those center spaces on the board that are brown/purple/blue? Before the game starts you put tiles on them randomly.

An example of three of the five double-sided tiles.

When you do, it looks like the picture below. The rivers make up the seven areas. And unlike Scythe, you can walk over rivers. The only reason they're there is to divide the board into areas that produce. So anyway, on you turn you pick two of the seven areas and all hexes on them produce. (Yes, for you and your opponents, which is why you want to both spread out as well as defend your territory.)

You'll notice the seven areas, six with four hexes
and one with three hexes (in the center).

These tile placements are random, so the boards are never the same from game to game, but due to the symmetry of the rivers on the tiles and whatnot the areas will always be the same sizes and shapes from game to game.

Awesome Steam games I've played

Celeste is an amazing game. 10/10. Looking for an amazing platformer? This is the game for you.

Hollow Knight is an amazing game. 10/10. Looking for an amazing metroidvania? This is the game for you.

Baba is You is an amazing game. 10/10. Looking for a an amazing puzzle game? This is the game for you.

The Room Three is an amazing game. 10/10. Looks for an amazing escape room style game? This is the game for you.

Other awesome games:

Platforming: Spelunky. 9/10.  Braid. 9/10.

Metroidvania: Ori and the Blind Forest. Haven't played it long enough to rate it yet, but from what I've heard about it it's great.

Puzzle game: Antichamber. 9/10.  Cosmic Express. 8/10.  Gorogoa. 8/10 (too short, or else it would be higher).

Escape Room Style: The Room. The Room Two. The Room 4: Old Sins. Been a while since I've played these but I think they are all a 8/10 or 9/10. The third one in the series is by far the best one.

Reoccurring locations in my dreams

In my dreams, there are some reoccurring locations. Yes, most of the time my dreams can happen anywhere, but when I dream of a certain category of location it's the same location.

An example would be beneficial to show what I mean. School. Whenever a dream I have includes a school, most of the time the layout is pretty much the same. It's a mix between BYU campus and APA.

And in this school right next to the library, or in the library  (if you know BYU you knows kind of its location in my dream campus) is this huge Belle's library type thing going stories up and down right near the entrance.

Elevator. In my dreams if there's ever an important elevator, it is round, you can risk getting onto or off of it while it's moving and try not to get chopped in half, and it always has 5 stories. So when I go up to floor 5 I know that's the top floor.

My house and Adam's house and Tyler's house and the Jamieson's house. Always in roughly the same locations. And always way way bigger on the inside, with multiple floors and secret passages.

Often when I'm in my backyard there's some sort of apocalyptic event happening, like a nuclear blast or huge storm that's destroying everything in its way. And we hide in the house or go over to our neighbors to play games before we all die.

Often I play games and they're always so fun and when I wake up I only remember bits and pieces of them. I also dream of going into thrift stores and getting tons of euro games, or seeing a huge stack of games I want and grabbing them for free and walking off.

The other night I had a dream I was on an airplane and got on for free and tried to blend in so that I wasn't kicked off. Often in my traveling dreams it's always about me taking the bus public transport and those dreams are always super stressful because I know I need to transfer busses but never know exactly which one or which stop until I get there, and then there's the really annoying thing that happens in dreams when you're trying to run but your legs don't work and lock up.

Anyway, that's my blog post for you today. Sorry I haven't written one earlier.

Affect

You are reading this post right now. Earlier, I was writing it. Why did I write it? To affect the future. Because you are reading this right now,  you're not doing something else.

According to the butterfly effect, even the smallest littlest change can have huge implications down the line. The mere fact that I wrote this and you're reading it may be the difference between kingdoms rising and falling.

In an alternate dimension, a parallel universe, where I never wrote this post, things were not changed, not affected. As a result of that tiny, seemingly insignificant choice, everything changed.

Maybe by reading this post you'll have slightly different dreams, remember slightly different things about them, who knows?

And as a result the world will change.
