We Are Marshal

When I was student teaching, one of my students passed away. Super rare, right? Well, now I am a full-time teacher, and one of my students passed away. His funeral was this last Friday.

A little over a month ago my Grandpa Jervis passed away. Before that, my Grandma Perazzo.

Before that, way back in the day, my cousin and very best friend Adam passed away.

It's been a while since I've posted, and one of the main reasons is that I feel like anything I have to say will be trivial. It's like, what on earth are you supposed to write about and post when someone just passes away? Board Game ideas? Random You Tube videos? Nothing felt right.

Anyway, that's the reason I haven't posted in a while. But, like they said in the movie "We Are Marshal," you have to start somewhere. When they lost their football team and got a completely new one, the coach asked another person what he wanted the school's football team to look like in ten years or so. And then, of course, the idea of: well, how do we get there? We have to start playing football again, because we have to start somewhere. If we just wait for the nebulous right moment, it will never happen.
